Mini-reflections on the Sunday scripture

From today’s Isaiah reading:
See, darkness covers the earth,
And thick clouds cover the peoples;
But upon you the Lord shines,
And over you appears God’s glory.
Isaiah reminds us that believers will experience
God’s "shining" through the darkness. Because of
that light in believers, others will "walk by
your light." He is speaking of the Gentiles. God
is reaching out to non-believers through the
light that shines from believers.
